We are trying to achieve?
Sprint-Start aims to promote the importance of living a Healthy Lifestyle to children, young people, their families and School communities in the Hampshire & IOW region.
By working closely with schools and other agencies, Sprint-Start will be able to develop an understanding of how a healthier lifestyle can be achieved and maintained, leading to many benefits for the individuals, families, schools and the wider community.
Results from work we have completed so far, show that there are a range of positive outcomes from children working towards increasing the level of exercise they take part in each week and combining this with a healthier diet.
These outcomes range from improved understanding of health issues and how to lead a healthier lifestyle, improved physical fitness and skills, improved concentration levels during lessons and better interpersonal relationships with class mates.
We aim to offer our services to schools throughout the region and work to incorporate Healthy Kids into their year on year teaching plans, leading to a healthy mindset of both the children and schools in the future.
